St. Ives Mixing Bar - New York City June 2017

St. Ives is mixing it up with a pop-up retail store, the St. Ives Mixing Bar, in New York City’s Soho neighborhood that brings personalization to personal care.

The first-ever experiential store from the Unilever-owned skincare brand invites guests to customize face scrubs and body lotions, choosing from over 50 combinations of 100% natural extracts, exfoliants or moisturizers

Visitors can see, smell, touch and create custom St. Ives body scrubs and lotions, all made with 100% natural extracts, exfoliants or moisturizers from a bar menu of 50 combinations. All custom face scrubs and body lotions retail for $12 each. On hand are 20 new skincare ingredients such as pink lychee, kale, ginger and volcanic sand.

“The introduction of the St. Ives Mixing Bar is an exciting and completely new way for our fans to experience St. Ives,” stated Suzanne Palentchar, St. Ives Marketing Director. “Inspired by the best of nature, we’re thrilled to unveil the Mixing Bar this summer where guests can create their own unique St. Ives face scrubs and body lotions, all while learning about the benefits our ingredient-led products provide.”

In addition to the mixing bar, sink stations offer sampling and a mirrored infinity room lined with life-sized apricots ripe for selfies.

But the real reason to sidle up to this bar, as its website says, “Properly exfoliated skin looks fresher, smoother, and downright glow-ier. Though your body already naturally exfoliates itself, adding a facial scrub to your current skincare routine can take your complexion from simply good to lit-from-within radiant.”

The St. Ives Mixing Bar is at 577 Broadway at Prince Street, and it’s open through July 30, open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 9pm and Sunday from 11am to 8pm.
