Launched in Mexico in 1993 and in the U.S. in 1999, Cinelatino has more than 20 million subscribers across the U.S., Latin America and Canada, including 4.6 million subscribers in the U.S. and 16.1 million subscribers in Latin America.

Now Cinelatino has rebranded with a new on-air graphics package and expansive color palette system supporting the brand’s position as the leading Spanish-language movie channel.

“We continue to acquire and program the best movies for Spanish-speaking audiences from the top content producers in the world, offering the largest inventory on the market,” James M. McNamara, Vice Chairman of Hemisphere Media Group, Inc., Cinelatino’s parent company, stated.

“As the leading Spanish-language movie network for the past two decades, we felt it was time to refresh our look to reflect the high quality of our content and reinforce our continued position as the #1 destination for Spanish-language movie lovers.”

The network lightened the channel ID, adding a 3D feel to evoke greater depth and environment, and to the color palette system communicates different blocks, dayparts and genres.

The network features the largest selection of contemporary Spanish-language blockbusters and critically-acclaimed titles from Mexico, Latin America, Spain and the Caribbean.

All movies are presented in their original format without commercial interruptions, along with interviews with film stars, exclusive coverage of Spanish film festivals and current news from the Hispanic film industry.

Cinelatino is the only publicly traded pure-play U.S. media company targeting the high growth Spanish-language television and cable networks business in the U.S. and Latin America.

“Our new identity reinforces our premium and fresh offering and communicates our diverse programming in a clear, warm, and organized way,” said Carolina Bilbao, Executive Creative Director of Cinelatino.

“The ID’s are spectacular, with 3D animations that celebrate our movies, stars and genres, emphasizing the cultural pride that our brand instills in our viewers. Cinelatino is the only channel in the U.S. where you can see the best movies from the entire region, during a time when the film industries in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Dominican Republic, Honduras, and many other international countries, are thriving.”

Edison Music’s David Baron created a symphonic music package to underscore the network’s new graphics package for the network, which is celebrating its 24th anniversary:
