Vicky Leavitt—CEO of Consumer & Retail Brand Experience for Interbrand—was honored in design:retail’s 2017 Portfolio Awards as a Retail Design Luminary. The annual competition, which recognizes the best, brightest and most innovative talent in the retail design industry, selected Leavitt for more than 25 years of global experience that “exemplifies creative excellence, professional leadership and personal commitment to the field of retail design.”

She joined Interbrand in 2015 to bring together and oversee a full-service integrated team based in Cincinnati’s Longworth Hall, a historic site that has been transformed into a custom-built, creative space where they strategize, design and produce award-winning consumer and retail brand experiences, including design, planning and architectural services, as well as deep expertise in consumer branding and packaging.

“I love partnering with both our internal teams and clients to help frame and bring to life the vision for iconic brand experiences that transform the way people engage, shop and buy to deliver growth for our clients, both their brand and business,” said Leavitt. “My goal is to help them dream bigger and to surprise, delight and deliver joy for their guests—before, during and after the store.”

Leavitt sat down with brandchannel editor Shirley Brady at the recent Brandemonium conference in Cincinnati to share the transformative approach that Interbrand’s Consumer & Retail Brand Experience team delivers to clients in the retail, apparel, automotive (such as rethinking the Nissan deadlership experience, at top), consumer packaged goods and other industries.
